It's Brian Eno meets Trent Reznor, and simply wonderful. The first nine tracks are free, or you can pay five dollars for a high bit rate MP3, lossless flac or apple lossless! Someone gets it! Getting the lossless version is the same damn thing as getting the CD. He also includes the cover art and booklet!

I would say, "Go buy it now." I'll say that you should sample the free tracks and see if it's you cup of tea.

Bah! I'm heading out to buy it, regardless. They did SOOOOO much cah-ching$ in their first few days that it's worth it to me to support this model of distribution and entertainment, even if the music turns out to be crap. But from what I've heard, I actually liken it to the "Don't Be Afraid" album by Information Society, which was vastly different than the usual InSoc stuff, but which I found to be deeply satisfying, haunting, and just plain wonderful.

Five bucks for the rest. It's a steal. I'm listening to it at work. Not much NIN I can do the same with.
