I saw Werner Herzog's film The Wild Blue Yonder with my husband last night. I've got to say it's a beautiful film and Brad Dourif does a great job of convincing me that he is an alien. The problem is two things. One, don't show me people in wetsuits swimming around and tell they are swimming in liquid helium. Two, I knew what the scientist was talking about when he was talking about low energy flight paths for orbital mechanics. Not go faster, just use less energy because you are optimally using gravity from the objects you are traveling to. Also, it's a film of mostly found footage. This threw me, and if I saw it again I would enjoy it more knowing what I was getting into. That's the hard part I never know if I should prep myself more or less when going to view art. Some times preparation will allow me to experience more, and some times it gives everything away.

What to do?

Well I'm still officially down. I still need to mail something out before I can turn things around. Damn, why are the small things hard to do? For that matter, that hard things aren’t all that easy.
