So what happens after you get your tax returns, get a bonus from work, and win the Survivor pool at work? Well it started out at dinner at outback. My bunny is being nice to me because there is not great food there, I just get hungry for a stake as rare as they make it (note blue rare but cold in the center.) We had attempted to find tickets into Philli for AC, but with out too much luck. Then at dinner I mention as an aside to my bunny "Well we could not go to AC this year." There was silence and we had a look. I had spoken the unmentioned. For me it broke down like this. I would not get to go to Morimoto's and I would put off seeing BlazeBright. You may ask yourself, that's it? Well I'm going to Boston to see friends and I have another friend flying in for a week soon after that. That's two out of the three people I was hoping to see at AC. Bunny and I are also hit with taxes. There is a three year 1.25% county tax. That his me for $250, and it will hit bunny for more, and he will owe on Federal and State taxes. So Money is tighter. I know bunny will really miss meeting Saki. The only big thing was I'll miss seeing Blaze. After taking three years to visit Boston, let me tell you Blaze. It's just a matter of time.

So, what does one do when they have $700 that was going to be spent on airline tickets?? You go shopping! First off, a PS2, extra controller, FFX, Jax and Daxter, component video cable, optical digital cable, and never winternights. That's great, but then we ran into a happy problem. We have four component video devices and only three inputs. That and we've run out of digital audio inputs. So after a checking the high end AV store here in Portland that talked to me when I was a young college sudent (Fred's sound of music) and picking myself up un upgraded power supply to my headphone amp, we went to Fry's. The great temple of capitialism was pleased with my offering. First off was looking around for an affordable component video switch box. Most of them start at $200 and go way up from there. I will give Pellican's Pro System Selector a great recomendation. Eight, yes eight, component video switching, along with composit video, s-video, and stereo connectors. Three of the eight have fiber connections for audio. All of this for $99.99. The only catch is that you need to go tot he box and press a button to change the device. This is not a problem considering you would need to get up to put in the game you want to play anyways. I balked at the proce at first, but I'm glad I got it now! Then a trip to Uwijamia and buying the Laputa sound track and Globe Global Trace Remixes. Woo!

Now for bed, and hoping that I've not upset too many people and for having more toy to keep myself occupied. Now to get into that Japaneese class this spring to get going for college again.
